Run NetMon on Windows 10 eval version.

Hi all.

I run a Windows 10 evaluation version and wanted to know if I can run the NetMon tool on it for some research at work.

Is it possible right now? Any advise will be really helpful as I really need to try and run it on this version. I surely have access to the earlier versions of Windows but I want to check if it will run on Windows 10.

PC config:

1. Windows 10 64-bit

2. 4 GB RAM.

3. Workgroup computer.

Hi Varun,

Yes, fundamentally, it should run fine on Windows 10. Please give it a try.

Please remember to install the required dependencies, if any, such as any redist packages.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your response Rajesh!

I will check it and post a response. I don't have any work to do anyway :-P LOL!

Also, be sure to check out Message Analyzer (http://blogs.technet.com/b/messageanalyzer/), which we actively test.  Network Monitor, on the other hand, isn't actively tested or maintained anymore.

Thank you Paul. I need to use the NetMon tool itself for some special purpose at work so thats the reason I needed to know that. But I will try the Message Analyzer as I had never heard of it before you gave me the link. It looks like a nice tool too.

Thanks again.
