Root element is missing error after clicking 'Search Connector Space...'
I have 3 MAs in a FIM (Update Rollup 2) install. On all the MAs when I click 'search connector space...' i get the error below.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks in advance.
Matthew

I haven't seen this Matt, no, but do you have the .Net Framework 4 installed? If so I'd be checking that you haven't hit the .Net Framework compatibility issue with FIM whereby you need to use a directive to default FIM to an earlier version ...
see this article about what to do if this is the case: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/9112.troubleshooting-failed-to-retrieve-schema-or-cannot-connect-to-database-while-creating-a-fim-ma.aspxBob Bradley (FIMBob @ http://thefimteam.com/) ... now using Event Broker 3.0 @ http://www.fimeventbroker.com/ for just-in-time delivery of FIM 2010 policy via the sync engine
