I have created a vehicle checkout site using the Room and Equipment Template. One of the resources requires approval and what I have found in testing is that while the Approval Status is updated for the list item, the Approver Comments are not, and the comments are not retained when the approval form is re-opened. I created another list with content approval on the same site and the comments update to the list item. Does anyone what could be causing this?

It sounds like there may be an Event Receiver on that list which could be incorrectly throwing away your comments. I would check to see if the list has Event Receivers and if so, what they do. Hi Cornelius, thanks for the reply, unfortunately no, it doesn't answer it. I'm sure there are event receivers, but only those that were built into the template. I don't have development tools so any modifications on my end are codeless. In addition, I have four other reservation sites that I created with the same template and when I activated content approval on those sites, the comments were retained.
