I'd like to create a permission level that would allow contributors to read/edit/delete their own items, but only read/edit everyone else's items. Like this, only the person who created an item can delete it. (minus of course those with full control and above permissions) Any ideas?

thanks for the link. I see that in an OOTB calendar and in an OOTB discussion forum. I don't see it in an OOTB document library. I haven't tested all of the OOTB lists, but it seems like it's available OOTB in some, but not in others.

Hi Tsamo, You can create an Item Deleting Event Handler for the above requirement. You can check, if the logged in User has either created the item or has full control permission, then only allow delete. Hope, this helps..
