Restoring Differential Backup
I have wss 3.0 with single web application in live server. I took full backup from central administration and restored it in test server with new configuation (new web application and new database server). After few days I took differential backup in
live server. Now i don't know how I restore the differential backup in newly created web application in test environment.

Hi Pratik,
The thread you suggested doesn't provide the process to restore differential backup in new server. I would appreciate if you could provide me the stsadm command to achieve this task.
Thanks

Hi,
According to your description, I suggest that you should keep previous full backup. Please refer to the following link about backup with stsadm operation:

Thanks Waqas and David,
I have checked both the links you guys provided. I restored the full backup in test environment using new configuration option (ie. new web application and new database). Then while trying to restore the differential backup in newly created web appication
of test server, I didn't get option to change the web application. It only allows to restore the differential backup in original web application.Pujan Amatya
