Hi All, I have wss version 12.0.0.6535 on 32 bit in my development environment and WSS version 12.0.0.6421 on 64 bit in my production environment. When i tried to restore my back up from dev to production, i got a erroe; Your backup is from a different version of the wss and cannot be restored. The backup file should be restored to a server with version '12.0.06535' or later. I have installed WSS sp2 on both machines. Could anyone help me out. Thanks in advance Viji

Plus the links are incorrect it was for the December 18 2008 CU. 12.0.0.6335 The following Cumulative Update Hotfix Package: April 27, 2010 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981043 shouild be deployed on your production server this will bring PROD into parity with DEV server on version 12.0.0.6535 and you will be able to restore the BU from DEV to PROD.. Hi Oleg, Thanks for your reply. When i tried to install December 09 update for 6535 on 32 bit in my development environment, it says " The expected version of the product was not found on the system" Do you have any idea about this. Thanks, VIji

Hi Ivan, My production server is 64 bit. The hotfix you mentioned Cumulative Update Hotfix Package: April 27, 2010 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981043 is for 32 bit.

WHen I run this, i got a message " There are no products affected by the package installed on this system"

Could you check out what were WSS updates installed on your PROD server? Control Panel-> Add & Remove Programs->check in Show updates Oleg
