When you say restore MOSS 2007, just say no.The WSS_content.mdf is site content where you have your sites, but you need other to remember other things like, folder 12, web.config, global resources, iis metadata backup, and register some dll in "c:\windows\assembly", Sharepoint administration Configurations, spp Database....But if you just to restore databases this book can help."Moving all databases to a different database server or a server with the same name"http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=65686896-c171-46a8-a95f-54f43ad79952&DisplayLang=enThe next line is a realy fast way to restore database "just give a context dont say midle steps"....Sharepoint Administration to remove Content Database if already have and Site is "0"Central Administration> Application Management > Content DatabaseRemove Content Database.SQL server 2005 command line to atach databaseexec sp_attach_db @dbname=N'WSS_Content', @filename1=N'[Path]WSS_Content.mdf', @filename2=[Path]WSS_Content_log.LDF';cmd command line to add your database to Sharepoint and finish restoreC:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN>stsadm -o addcontentdb -url http//[URL] -databasename WSS_contentHope this helpAndr Lage Microsoft SharePoint and CRM Consultant http://aaclage.blogspot.com

Hi Andre, thanks for the reply. It seems that it is not possible to just use the WSS_content.mdf to restore my MOSS 2007 site. If i had access tothefilesof folder 12 and the web.config would it be possible? Or is the only way to restore from a full sharepoint backup? Thanks.
