Restore Exchange 2010 Database

I have restored one of my databases (EXDBTEMP) and its logs to a folder from a Symantec System Restore 2013 backup of 4 days ago.

I need to bring up that backup so I can restore a mailbox out of it.  Problem is EXDBTEMP is still an active database on my server.  How could I go about getting both databases just for a short time to retrieve the one mailbox?

Thanks for any advice,

George

The key is that your are going to make a 'recovery' database.

Correction:

How can I go about getting the flat file copy of the EXDBTEMP DB and Logs up and running, while leaving the current EXDBTEMP database active?  The mailbox I'm looking for does not exist in the current EXDBTEMP but does in the older copied EXDBTEMP db.

Thanks,

George

Once you create the recovery database then you restore the mailbox with the restore-mailbox command.

Restore-Mailbox -Identity myTemporaryAccount -RecoveryDatabase RDB -RecoveryMailbox "Some UserName" -TargetFolder Recovery
