Resource Availability in Resource Centre

Hi

I recently noticed that some of my archived projects are still showing up in Resource Availability (via Resource Centre) view. The projects are listed in the grid even though the assignments for that resource was completed nearly two years ago!

Please note that I have followed Microsoft's article to archive projects in the system (https://support.office.com/en-nz/article/Archive-a-completed-project-5117fe4f-3c07-4499-8cc9-99321767954f)

I understand the assignment will not be deleted, but why is the grid showing projects that do not fall in the selected date range. I only selected this month's view.

I noticed this in PS2013 also. I only want to see list of projects that are demanding a particular resource within a given timeframe.

Any suggestion will be great as always!

Hi SJ,

Did you set the "publish" column to No in MS Project and publish the project? This is a best practice while archiving a project and doing so, the assignments should not show up in the resource assignments from the resource center.

Hi Guillaume,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I followed all the instructions as per the MSFT Office article which includes what you suggested. Yet no joy in removing it from resource centre availability view.

It actually doesn't show in Resource Assignment view, but it still shows in the list of projects below the availability chart.

Thanks

SJ
