Resource/Guide on People Search webpart in MOSS 2007
Hi, I've added the "People Search Box" and "People Search Core Results" web parts on a web part page. They are both linked and working out of the box. Would you be able to refer me to some documentations on these 2 web parts. Most of the resources I could find are related to using central admin for connecting to AD so that the search work. Perhaps I'm not using the right keyword. I'd like to modfiy the properties of these 2 web parts and see the possbilities. Also, how can I get a dataview of the search result or customize the display of the search result? Thanks, Pman http://www.pmansLab.com/

Thank you both. I did come across those links later as I've continued to read up on this topic. Is there anyway, I can customize the search result to show me active users only. So, there are user profiles that are showing up right now for those who are no longer with the organization. In this case, the AD Account is disabled. There are also separate accounts for various IT folks for "Administrative" purposes along with their own user account. Those accounts should also be filtered from the search results. So, how would you recognize who is an active user and who is not? Any suggestions? I'd prefer not to make any changes to the current situation (AD or User Profiles) but filter the result.Pman http://www.pmansLab.com/

I'll mark both your replies as answer as I was only looking for some reference. I should probably post a separate thread about the active user question in the "Search" forum. I'll do that later. But if you do have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks, Pman http://www.pmansLab.com/
