Resetting an SCCM Database?
We have reason to believe that a backup of our SCCM database was being kicked off at the same time as a software update synch to the wsus server was occuring. The synch stopped mid stream and has not worked since. Is there anyway to reset the SCCM database to clear our any issues that might be preventing the synchs from completing successfully? We have verified that the WSUS server is behaving correctly and getting updates from Microsoft

If it were me, I would just remove the role for SUM, wait a bit (an hour or so perhaps, watch the logs), and add it back (watch the logs). But that's what I would do... because I've done that over and over again for a different issue (now resolved with SP2, not related to your issue). So I know it's no big deal; just time consuming waiting for the new sync to happen.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.
