Reset health of Offline Computers
Hi there,
Is it possible to reset the health for computers that are offline?
Thanks.

What do you mean? Do you mean - reset the health of the health service watcher? If so - yes - as this object is hosted by the RMS.
If you mean reset the health of a specific object hosted by the agent - no - as a reset health is a notification sent down to the agent to reset health for a given monitor.
You can however place the offline item into maintenance mode.Kevin Holman http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman

Hi
Sadly not - you'll get an error if you try and reset state through the Health Explorer. Even setting maintenance mode won't set the computer to "Not Monitored".
If the computers are shut down \ decommissioned then you can remove them from SCOM via Administration, Agent Managed. Otherwise, it is a case of trying to get the team into the habit of setting maintenance mode before shutting servers down.
Cheers

Ahh sorry - Kevin also posted while I was typing.
As I mention, I don't think maintenance mode will work either. It won't set a "Critical" "grey" server to "Not Monitored".
Cheers
