Reservation Icon gone

I reserved the Win 10 update over a month ago using the reservation icon in the status bar.

Sometime on July 29th, the reservation icon disappeared and Windows Update says "Windows 10 upgrade reserved".

Why am I not being prompted that download is complete and I can upgrade?

The above is for my desktop machine that has 144gb of free space.

My laptop machine still has the reservation icon  and has not prompted me to upgrade.

When i look in the root of my C drive on both machines

I see $Windows.~BT and $Windows.~WS folders

Can anyone shed some light on

Imagine how many million of users trying to download and install Windows 10 ?

You just have to wait for Windows Update.

However, you can skip the wait and install Win 10 now.
I installed mine using the same methods.

Follow this tutorial.....

How to download Windows 10 ISO files.

http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/9230-windows-10-iso-download.html

After you have downloaded the ISO file > right click at the file > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
Installation will begin. This method allows you to keep all your files, settings and apps.
Product key is NOT required in this method.

Note : The tutorial is actually derived from these 2 Microsoft articles.....

The $Windows.WS folders have 5gb of data in them.

Good for it... you have 2 choices. Wait for your turn in Windows Update, or use the Media Creation Tool.

Hi snifferpro,

Check whether the "$Windows.WS \sources\Windows\setup.exe" existing.

If it existed, we could run it directly to install.

Best regards
