Could you expand on your scenario a bit? For instance, are you lookng to develop a management pack for an application that is installable in a distributed configuration and want to have the MP automatically pull all of the parts of the model into one roll up diagram automatically? Or are you trying to learn to use the DAD? If the latter, the SCOM unleashed book or the authoring guide on technet are good places to read up. If the former - the MPU online videos are the only published information that I know of for how to make a MP that automates the creation of a roll up hierarchy that shows up in the list of distributed applications in the console. Hi Donald Here are a couple of links that should help: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb381200.aspx http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=F4BF4A65-2574-4BF9-B412-234AEC418F04&displaylang=en Actually creating the distributed application is the relatively straight forward part of the process. If you are looking to monitor a Distributed Application then you also need to gather the information that you eventually need to map to the Distributed Application and put in place any custom monitoring required. Hi Dan Here is our seniorio We have created web application to monitor the 50 websites. All the websites are monitoring from different watcher nodes(different geographic areas). We are getting the alerts if the website fails from different watcher nodes. Even though website is up also if the website unable to hit from one location also it will send us the alert. We want to simplify the solution further more using distributed application concept in SCOM R2. We want to create a distributed application to monitor all the 50 websites from different nodes. If the website hitting fails from one node it has to send a warning alert if it fails from all the watcher nodes it has to send the high alert. Please assist/help us to implement this solution. Hi, Thank you for clarifying the situation. Based on my research, I think Distributed Application could not do this. Thanks.
