Reports
As i checked a group is added for reports in the Report user (Security role of OpsMgr) , Any member part of this group will be able to access reports. But is there no further Auth required to run particular reports , supposedly i dont want them all to run all reports but some. Also as checked the reports come from DW and not OpsMgr DB. are they real time. I could not see any details mentioning how often the data the data is transfered from DB to DW (30 Seconds had read somewhere) but cant seem to find where is the setting and how to change it. Any flowchart available on how reports work :) Thanks

Thanks Graham, I almost though it would be different , so the Blog explained it perfectly. But Guess we should be able to do it through SCOM itself, looking into SSRS and deleteing teh account from the Reports .. Thats too much for me.. I get intemediated by SSRS every time i think of it. But maybe i have no options than to ponder the land of Reports.. Also any other information on how the data travels between DB and DW and where to find those settings

Hi Agree it would be neater to do this from a GUI. Data doesn't travel from the DB to \ from the DW. This diagram should help explain: http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2007/10/30/event-alerts-perf-data-flow-in-opsmgr-2007.aspx Cheers GrahamView OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/
