Reporting very slow
Hi, I deployed Microsofts latest patches this morning and the reporting is extremely slow. Where can I check. I have confirmed on my test machines that they have received the patches and have prompted for reboots, the reports are not reporting accurately. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 with SCCM 2007 R2 SP2. Thanks

Hi, You can check the updates*.log files on the test clients. They will tell you whether the patches has been installed or not.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

I have verified that the updates have installed successfully on some servers and workstations, but for some odd reason, the reports do not update as fast as they normally do. For me it is not an issue to check, but some lazy admins just look at the report and not their servers so I am actually trying to get them off my back by getting the report to display accurate results. I have noted some servers that were requesting a reboot for the patches but the reports have not indicated so, even after a few hours.

Hi, It's been seen before that the status messages are not being uploaded fast enough. You could trigger a software compliance scan which will speed up the process.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
