SharePoint needs to be installed on the same machine as your Report Server. In your case, since Report Server is installed on the database server, then yes, you will need to install SharePoint on your database server.

Hi Yashwant Singh Mourya, According to your description, you would like to install report server on a server that is different from the server which have SharePoint been installed, right? Just as Tristan said, Report Server and SharePoint should to be installed on the same machine. To join a report server to a SharePoint farm, the report server must be installed on a computer that has an instance of a SharePoint product or technology. You can install the report server before or after installing the SharePoint product or technology instance. For more information about it, please refer to the following article, Requirements for Running Reporting Services in SharePoint Integrated Mode: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb283190.aspx If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen

Hi Yashwant Singh Mourya, 1. Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products must be installed on the Web front-end. The Reporting Services Add-in provides server integration features and Web application pages for accessing report server items from a SharePoint site. The add-in must be installed on each Web front-end in the server farm through which users will access reports and other items. 2. The Web front-end joins the report server computer to a SharePoint farm. Installing the Web front-end on the report server computer is only necessary if you deploy the report server and the SharePoint technology instance on separate computers. For more information, you can refer to the following article, Configuring Reporting Services for SharePoint 2010 Integration: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326356.aspx If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen
