Does anyone know if it is possible to report on laptop backups by file type? It would be very useful to create a report of storage used by file type and then interrogate that to find out if laptop X is storing large amounts of music or video and what that is. 

For example if we find a user is using a large amount of space and we can then report on whether that user just has a large set of PSTs or in fact has a several series or GoT/Breaking Bad/Sesame St and the entire back catalog of Abba backing up acorss the network. While users are not allowed to store non corporate data it isn't unheard of... I know, I know... a user would never store files of dubious copyright status on their work laptops! Treat this as an exercise! :D

One thing to note before someone says it... we cannot block certain file types (mp4, mp3 etc)  due to there being a legitimate business use for them.
