Reporting advice please
Hi I am rewriting an ms access application for vb.net with sql server backend. My question is what reporting method can I use in place of access reports in visual studio? I keep hearing several terms like sql serve reporting service, report builder, visual studio reporting control and crystal reports and but I can't figure out which one to use to match the functionality of access reports. I would appreciate if someone could please provide some pointers in this regards. I hear reporting services can import access reports, which is a bonus but I don't know what else it could do or if it matches access report in features. Many Thanks Regards

Can you please define "functionality of access reports" .. that's a broad statement.Jeff Block t:@sqlDictum (http://www.twitter.com/sqlDictum)

Hi Jeff What I mean is if I can do it in Access report I would like it in the new platform too so the rewritten vb.net/sql server app retains the same reporting functionality as the ms access app it is replacing. Sorry, hard to be more specific. There are quiet a number of access reports in the existing app and they use pretty much all features of access reports. Thanks Regards
