Reporting SharePoint data using stored credentials
I'm having trouble pulling SP data into a report utilizing stored credentials. Server setup is as follows: Server A: MOSS 2007 (NTLM authentication) Server B: SQL 2005, SSRS in native mode (not SP integrated) I created a report connecting to the SP web service, pulling in some list data and built a report. I deployed the report to my report server without issue. Initially, using Windows integrated security, I could only display the report from the report server itself, not my machine. I figured this was due to the double hop authentication (not using Kerberos). I switched to using stored credentials, I input my credentials (farm admin, domain admin) and selected 'Use as Windows credentials when connection to the data source'. Voila! I have my report displaying correctly on my machine and another user's machine. I wanted to create a service account to run all reports. I created a normal domain user account and input the credentials into the stored credentials box. My report now does not run, I get the below: An error has occurred during report processing. Query execution failed for data set 'DataSet1'. Failed to execute web request for the specified URL. For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors I assumed this was due to insufficient permissions. I have since assigned Browser, Content Manager, My Reports, Publisher, Report Builder on the report server, I have made this account a farm admin, I have added this account to the local admin group on the report server, and I have even (briefly) tried making this account a domain admin. Nothing I do seems to allow this account to render the report. I'm getting frustrated as I know it wil work using my credentials, I just need to figure out what to grant this service account. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Mikey, From your description, the issue is caused because of insufficient permission to execute report dataset query on sharepoint web serivces instead of viewing report on report server. So, you need to check the newly created account permission on sharepoint server compared with your credential. thanks, Jerry

That's what it sounds like to me but I figured giving the account farm admin would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I still received the same result.
