Reporting Services account for a data-driven subscription - SSRS 2005
Hi. I need to create a data-driven subscription that delivers a report to a shared folder. The Reporting Server service execution account is the LOCAL SYSTEM and so the subscription finishes with error. If the execution account is my Window login, the report are saved correctly in the shared folder. Is it possible to specify LOCAL SYSTEM as the execution account for the Reporting Server service in order to implement a subscription or not? Can this execution account to be different respect to the user name to specify in the data-driven subscription? Many thanks for your suggest.

Hi pscorca, We can configure the LOCAL SYSTEM account the Write permissions to the shared folder to solve the issue. Once the LOCAL SYSTEM have the permissions to write files to the shared folder, the subscriptions will be successful too. For your another question, it is a little confused. If you are meaning the username in the subscription to access the database, then the question is that the execution account is different with the credential account. Thanks, Jin ChenJin Chen - MSFT

Hi Jin, but I have already assigned the SYSTEM group to the shared folder for the sharing, with the modify permissions, and I have an error. Do these permissions are enough? Thanks
