Reporting Services Web Service HTML Output and Images
Hi,To email reports to clients we are using the Web Service to render the HTML and write that as the body of the email. The image tags within the email are being rewritten to point to the web service, not their original links (which have been written as absolute URLs to ensure they are correct). The image links outputted in the HTML wont work and show broken image links, when you try and navigate to the image in a browser the following error message is displayed: The stream cannot be found. The stream identifier that is provided to an operation cannot be located in the report server database. (rsStreamNotFound) I can see the reason why Reporting Services does this, espcially as the report in question being rendered is using a history ID, it will display the image as it was at the time of execution. However in this case I need to turn this functionality off so the image paths are maintained. Is this possible or is there a better way of getting the report images to work once it has been emailed. Thanks,Steve Elliott
