Reporting Services 2005: Unable to unload app domain, terminating
I have two separate installations of Reporting Services 2005 (one with SP3 and the other with SP2) that have the following errors and the Reporting Services service shuts itself down. In one case this is happening on a daily basis. I found one relevant topic, however, the posted solution is only if you upgraded from SSRS 2000 to SSRS 2005. These installations were clean installs and besides I tried the recommended workaround with no success. I've looked into subscription based reports that may be running but there aren't any. Any help is very much appreciated! Hi, The error message indicates that a recycle operation of the application domain for the Report Server was happening and that the requests currently in process did not complete during the allocated time (specified in MaxAppDomainUnloadTime in RSReportServer.config file). Once this issue happens, your SSRS may be restarted. For more information, you can refer to the sections "Scheduling a Recycle Operation for the Report Server Windows Service" and "Configuring the Unload Time for the Report Server Windows Service" in this article: Configuring Available Memory for Reporting Services http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159206(SQL.90).aspx Thanks, Cathy Miller Microsoft Online Community Support
