Report tweaking help
I have numerous texbox controls for my report. Each textbox which has an expression assigned to hold data from the record is accompanied by a textbox that serves as a label. All of these textboxes are held inside a rectangle. My Report works great. My report layout I have Rectangle one which consists Details about customer & the order placed this entire rectangle form a details group under the row groups section on bottom left of the desgin area. Rectangle 2 . Im using a Comment textbox the value is populated from the Comments column for the entire workorder. When i run my report i get if i have a customer with multiple orders i want them to be seen listed on the same page if possible. Currently if i have more than one order for same customer it takes each page for each order number. There`s a huge blank space between the last textbox Model & my report footer. Can you guide me thru on the spacing issue. I tried to be as detailed as i could. Customer name Shipped by Shipper Rep name City New/Refub State Discount I separate this section with a line Order number order date Make Model ------------------------------------ Comments : ---------------------------------------- Report footer. Hi Farhan1, Based on your description, I noticed if you have a customer with multiple orders, you want them to be seen listed on the same page. Generally, in order to achieve this, we can add a group by the customer field, and then set pagebreak on it. However, I am still not very clear about the report structure you have achieved, so if possible, please post a screenshot of the report in Design mode, then I will provide you further assistance. It also would be helpful for the second question. (In order to post a picture, you can first upload it to Skydrive, and then copy it to the reply) For more information about How to Add or Delete a Group, please refer to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156487.aspx Thanks, Tony ChainTony Chain [MSFT] MSDN Community Support | Feedback to us Get or Request Code Sample from Microsoft Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
