Report server unavailable
Hi, I've configured IIS correctly, I'm using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition with SQL Server 2005 with SQL SP2 installed and Reporting services installed and configured, SCCM 2007 R2, have configured the reporting services role already but everytime I request to view the report on web about anything on advertisement or deployment I receive error messaege saying the "Unable to launch the report "specified report" because the it does not exit on the report server or the report server is unavailable...when I open Computer mangment then scroll down on Reporting expand Reporting services the select my \\%SERVER% when I right click on it General Tab i find the information saying that Report folder is Unavailable..Status unavailable...size unavailable...contains unavailable... I go further to toubleshoot on the sql report server I find that Web services Identity is not configured when I try to configured it with the default configurations, on applying I get the same error message not configured else everything is well configured on the SQL reporting server except the web service identity, I can view the report point on Asset management and hardware and software inventory on web but reporting services is the only problem.. I've added the administrator account on the local policy of the machine on SMSReporting services.. what else can I do to resolve this?? immediate help is appreciated.. Cheers

Hello, Am guessing u already performed these, but just checking back.if you havent yet done this, these are the steps. 1. Create an Active Directory group for the users you want to have access to Web Reporting (e.g. domain\SCCM-Reporting) 2. Add the users to this group 3. In the Configuration Manager console navigate to: Site Database -> Security Rights 4. Right-click Security Rights and select "Manage Configuration Manager Users". 5. Click Next. 6. In the "Add a new user" field enter "domain\SCCM-Reporting" (or whatever you named the group in step 1). 7. Click "Next" 8. Confirm the radio button to the left of "Add another right or modify an existing one" is selected 9. Click "Next" 10. Select "Report" in the Class dropdown 11. Check the box to the left of "Read" 12. Click "Next" 13. Confirm the radio button to the left of "The listed rights are sufficient is selected". 14. Click "Next" 15. Click "Next" 16. Click "Close" Finally, you must add the "domain\SCCM-Reporting" group to the local "SMS Reporting Users" group on the SCCM Server (Right-click My Computer > Manage > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Groups > SMS Reporting Users). Now all users in the SCCM-Reporting group should have access to web reports. thanks Arvind
