Report render problem
Hi I have developed a couple of reports for SSRS 2005 that uses standard features like tables and charts. These reports are then transformed into static HTML files using the Render method of the ReportService2005 web service. The HTML files of the reports are then viewed in a custom ASP.NET web application. Everything looks nice when a user uses Internet Explorer 7 for viewing the report, but when Internet Explorer 8 is used the tables of the report becomes compressed and the report looks like a mess, all formatting disappears (using the Compatibility View of IE8 makes the report look nice again). Does anyone know why the formatting of the report doesn't work in IE8 and how to fix it? In other threads I have seen people having problems using Report Viewer control and that double style attributes been generated in the HTML, but removing those extra style attributes didn't help the report still looked a mess. Hoping someone has a solution to my problem Br /Peter

I was able to find a solution myself. Removed a DOCTYPE element from the web application and then the report rendered fine in IE8 as well.
