Report preview window gone
I am new to ssrs. I am creating a report in vs2008, when I used to debug it the report would open in a seperate window, local to visual studio. Now something has changed, and when I debug it deploys the project to our report server and I get a browser window version. How can I get it back to the local instance running? thanks.

In Visual Studio, right click your report and choose Run.

There should be a preview tab , in your IDE. once you click that , you should be able to see the report rendering in VS itself. if not, as irusul rightfully said, right click and choose run Thanks, ssrsit

Hi new2ssrs, In your case, you can select Debug option when you view the report. Please refer to the screenshot below: Generally, if we are using Business Intelligence Development Studio(BIDS) to design a report, we can directly click the Preview button to check the report. Please refer to the screenshot below: In addition, here is an article about set deployment properties for your reference.
