Report parameter issue after users AD account is renamed
SSRS caches lots of stuff--yea, I expect restarting the service might help.__________________________________________________________________ William Vaughn Mentor, Consultant, Trainer, MVP http://betav.com http://betav.com/blog/billva http://www.hitchhikerguides.net Hitchhikers Guide to Visual Studio and SQL Server (7th Edition) Please click the Mark as Answer button if a post solves your problem!

Is the user hard-coded in the RS Catalog as a report user? If so, I would drop the user and re-add it to the appropriate folders.__________________________________________________________________ William Vaughn Mentor, Consultant, Trainer, MVP http://betav.com http://betav.com/blog/billva http://www.hitchhikerguides.net Hitchhikers Guide to Visual Studio and SQL Server (7th Edition) Please click the Mark as Answer button if a post solves your problem!

No. Also, I copied the report and added the User!UserId to a textbox to verify that it is passing his old user id. This may have something to do with the SID from AD on his account, but everything in AD shows his new userid - strange. Does SSRS cache credentials (SID's) somehow? I may try restarting the SSRS services tonight to see if that resolves it. Thanks, Justin

William, Thanks for the quick responses. After restarting the RS service, the report worked correctly. Thanks, Justin

We have a report that uses a stored procedure to compare the currently logged in users id and pull information from an extensionattribute field in Active Directory to pull the users sales territory. We recently had to rename his AD user ID and since then, when he runs the report, it does not populate the parameter - meaning that the SP does not return anything. I have verified that when I run the SP and manually put in his new ID it returns the correct information. My gut feeling is that the report is sending his old user id, but haven't been able to figure out how or why. The report does not get cached. And I have verified that all necessary attributes have been set to his new user id in AD through adsiedit. This SSRS 2008 R2. Thanks, Justin
