Report on Configuration Manager ADM template bug
Hi,
I'm editing my GPO settings for client installation via Group Policy.
I have then loaded the ADM templates provided in the installer folder TOOLS\ConfigMgrADMTemplates\ConfigMgr2007Assignment.adm & ConfigMgr2007Installation
But when editing the Site Assignment template using Windows Server 2008 Group Policy Management Editor, I'm not able to enter 3 characters site code into the Assigned Site field
It will only allow up to 2 characters:
I have then have to use my Windows XP Group Policy Management editor to edit the template & successfully enter
3 characters site code into it.
I then switched back to GPM on Windows Server 2008 to see the results & it is displayed correctly on report, but still you can't edit it there.
below are the versions used by both MMC & GPM on Windows Server 2008 & Windows XP
1. MMC 3.0 on Windows Server 2008: version 6.0 (Build 6002: Service Pack 2)
2. GPM on Windows Server 2008: version 6.0.0.1
3. MMC on Windows XP SP3: version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234 : Service Pack 3)
4. GPM on Windows XP SP3: version 1.0.2
Not sure though whether it's ADM template issue or GPM/MMC, but hope there's a fix for this.
Hopefully someone who bump into the same issue will be able to use the workaround as above.
That's all, thank you.
