Report Viewer to support SSRS 2008 R2 RDL in Local Mode
Do we have any work around to make Report Viewer to support SSRS 2008 R2 RDL in Local Mode. Or any planned date to release new version of report viewer to support SSRS 2008R2 RDL. Thanks ..

Hello, Which version of ReportViewer are you using? RV 2010 should be able to work with SSRS 2008 R2 reports.Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

Hi ganzzzzzz, Reports that you create in SQL Server Reporting Services saved as .rdl file, or reports that you create for ReportViewer Controls saved as .rdlc file. Actually, the rdl file and the rdlc file are defined by an XML schema called the Report Definition Language, and there is a conversion between them. Based on your requirements, if you need to use the .rdl file in ReportView control, you can convert the .rdl file to .rdlc format firstly. For more information about Converting RDL and RDLC Files, please refer to the article below: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252109(v=VS.90).aspx If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Hi Bin, The RDL is converted to RDLC. But I am not able to use few features of SSRS 2008 R2 RDL(Like Lookup, Pagebreak Disabled on in downloadable formats alone) in VS 2010 Report viewer. I would like to knew whether report viewer engine is not supporting the extended Features of SSRS 2008 R2 RDL. If Report viewer is not going to support these features then do Microsoft has any patch release or planned release of upgraded version of Report Viewer. Thanks ...
