Report Server Virtual Directory Settings
Hi, Were there any error messages? And which port you set for the "www.example.com" web site? If you create a custom web site for report server, it will use 80 port by default, and then the "Default Web Site" should be stop or change to other port (it use 80 port by default too). To switch back report server web site to "Default Web Site", you need to stop the "www.example.com" web site or change its port. If you know how to change the host header, then you should also know how to change the port. And then use Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to ensure that the "Default Web Site" is running, and one of its identities is: IP address: Default TCP port: 80 Host header value: And then use Reporting Services configuration Manager to connect to the Reporting Services instance, switch to Report Server Virtual Directory tab, check Apply default settings, click New button, in popup window (Create a New Virtual Directory), select "Default Web Site" in Website dropdown list, and set Virtual Directory to "ReportServer". Finally please access report server to verify that the configuration is successful. If there is anything unclear, please feel to ask. Thanks, Albert Ye

Hi, I want to test allowing accessing the report via using host header (www.example.com), so i created custom web site in IIS 6.0. I go on to configure report server, click 'New' to change the Website in 'Report Server Virtual Directory Settings'. However, i would like to switch back website to 'Default Web Site' but was not able to do so. Any suggestion?
