Report Model Security
Hi,
I have designed report models for different clients with different users from same data source. After deployment of all models each individual user has diffrent models assigned.
Like
User 1 has access to Clientmodel 1
User 2 has access to Clientmodel 2
User 3 has access to Clientmodel 3
but when User1 logins on Report builder, can see all 3 models in right side of Report builder(As expected to see only one Clientmodel 1)
Use has assigned rights as Browser and Publisher.
I am using SSRS 2005 enterprise edition and Report builder 3.0
Please help me to encounter this problem.
Thanks!

here is how i have done it in the past where users do not see other models on the report builder app:
for each different model, create a subdirectory. Give the users/groups access to the directory by clicking properties tab -> security. Verify the users or groups do not have permissions to model subdirectories they should not have. On the
site settings set each user/group as a System User. Deploy each model into its respective directory.

Thank You Nehemiah.
I have done the same but I came to know when Report builder always connects with SSRS with admin user which is saved on local machine. So how would I be able to test report model with test user who dosnt have any admin rights.
Can t change user on local michine.
Thanks!

Report Builder and the Report manager should use the account that is running your Internet Browser. You should be able to right click on Internet Explorer and select "Run As" to open as another user. Also local admin users on the
report server will default as site wide content managers so any local test users cannot be put in the admin group.
