Report Model--is there a limit on the number of rows?
Is there a limit on the number of rows that a report model will support? Our report model has tables that have millions of rows of data. When we regenerate the model it starting to take hours to regenerate. Is that expected? Is there a limit on the number of rows that can be used with a model?Kim B.

Hi Kim, There is no such documention to describe this limitation. However, using a very large of rows of data on the report model is not a good choise. We could break it into multiple views or add filter on the report model to reduce its heavy data loading if possible. thanks, Jerry

Hi Kim, Unless it is a feedfile kind of a thing that you are trying to generate, it is always advisable to have only the required amount of data to be captured in the report. From end user perspective, having a report with millions of rows, may not be practical in usability perspective. Regards,Phani Note: Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question.
