Report Manager login prompt issue
Hi all when my users access the report manager, they get a login prompt. They enter their credentials and then it works fine. I need to know if there is a way to avoid this login prompt WITHOUT having to ask every user to change their IE settings to automatically log them on with username and password. Its not really a great fix for me to have to ask them all to do this. Is there anything else i can try? Clare

You can set your datasource on either SSRS or the Report Server to store the credentials so no one will have to keep reentering them :)

Thanks Shahfaisal Unfortunately we dont have control over our customers domain, maybe we can request them to do this however if it conflicts with their policy they may not want to. Clare

Hi Clare, By default, Reporting Services provides default authentication based on Windows integrated, and all users or applications who request access to Report Server content or operations must be authenticated before access is allowed. As Shahfaisal posted, we can configure IE settings via some ways like group policy. Or using a utility that writes scripts that allow you to retrieve and/or configure Internet Explorer settings, so that you can quickly, easily, and automatically configure settings on any or all the computers in your organization. Hope this helps. Thanks, Bin Long
