Hi , Best practices to embed a Table/Chart in a list so as to fit exactly into the list ? Thanks in Advance . Rajkumar Yelugu Hi Rajkumar, To the thread of yours, do you want to get some knowledge or samples about utilizing the chart/table controls in a list? Actually, a list data region is a data-bound report item that contains a single column of multi-instance data on a report. A list can be used for free-form reports or in conjunction with other data regions. You can define lists that contain any number of report items. A list can be nested within another list to provide multiple groupings of data. For more information about list control please refer to this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159121.aspx Thanks, Challen Fu

Challen , 1) I've been utilising list control to restrict no : of rows per page in a table control by grouping list to following expression =ceiling(RowNumber(nothing)/25) Then draged on tablix/table onto list , Now i'll have to make sure that the width of the table and list are same for proper alignment can u please specify how is that to make sure that the width of table and list are same ? 2) How is that to make sure that the tablix have been nested in the List , Any property for the tablix to verify that a tablix is contained in a list or any property of the list to make sure that its nested with tablix ? Thanks in advance . Rajkumar Yelugu

Hi Rajkumar, If you want the Chart or tablix control to fill all the size of list just like you said “embedding charts in lists so the border of the chart and list does not contain any any spaces above, below, left or right ,” You might need to drag the chart or talix’s body to adapt list’s body manually, as it will not adapt its size in list automatically. Actually, you could achieve the requirement of restricting one page’s row no by setting =ceiling(RowNumber(nothing)/25) in talix’s parent group rather than utilizing list control. Then put the chart into the detail row of tablix then there will no space between different charts. You could also add some pagebreak to the tablix. Note: When you add a parent group to the tablix, it will add one group sorting automatically, so please delete the sorting; otherwise you will get an error. Thanks, Challen Fu
