Report Data Pane missing
The Report Data pane is missing in VS version 9.0.30729.4462 QFE. Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't proceed to build a report without this vital step. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Which SQL Server / BIDS plugin do you use, 2005 / 2008 / 2008R2? In 2005 there should be a pane; in 2008 it changed, here you get the dataset list with menu "View" => "Datasets" and there you can edit the dataset definition.Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

Hi GtSmith555, Thanks for your question and Olaf’s reply. Based on my research, I found that your VS version 9.0.30729.4462 QFE may be correspond to the VS 2010. In this version, you can find the Report Data Pane by click “Data” in the Menu list, then click “Show Datasource”. Best Regards. Sharp Wang

The choices "View => Datasets" and "Show Datasource" weren't on any of the menus in business intelligence development studio. "Ctrl +Alt + D" did the trick though! Thanks!
