Report Builder 3.0 only works with one web application in farm
Since this topic as been moved from its original location, I want to clarify this is a SharePoint 2010 environment using SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services installed in SharePoint mode. We have two web applications in our farm, Web Application A is for Domain A and Web Application B is for Domain A & B. Domain B has a one-way trust with Domain A (B trusts A but not vice-versa). We have 4 web front ends, two for Web Application A and two for Web Application B. Then we installed Reporting Services in integrated mode onto the web front ends used by Web Application A with a unique URL. Web Application B is able to create reports and clicking new Report Builder Report will launch the Report Builder ClickOnce stating it is being run from Web Application B. However Web Application A does not work with Reporting Services. New Report Builder Report leads to "The webpage cannot be found". If I open the locally installed copy of Report Builder I can connect to Web Application B, but not Web Application A. I've gone back through all the configuration steps, but can't find anyplace where I would install the Report Builder (rs.rsapplication) onto Web Application A or make reporting services work with one web application but not another. Does anyone else have a solution for this?

Hi HVandesa, From your description, the issue might occur due the authentication settings of the Web Application A. At this time, I suggest that you try the steps below: Click Start-> Programs, and open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration.Click Manage Web Application option under Application Management item.Click the Web Application A, and click Authentication Providers. Click Default, check Enable anonymous access and click Save. Hope this helps. Regards, Mike Yin

I tried this and it did not fix the issue. I'm going to open a Microsoft ticket and will post the results.

I've got a similar situation...maybe...I'm using SP2010 and SQL2012 with SSRS running in integrated mode...I've got reports running in one web app...but no other web app will run a report...I mean "hello world" reports...no data connections...Report Bulder cannot even save a report into one of the other web apps...BTW-the web app that DOES work was there when I integrated SSRS into the farm...the other ones were created after SSRS was integrated...MS is working on this nowBrandt Smith

We've got a ticket with MS as well and it has not yet been resolved. They are currently reviewing our logs.
