ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application file not installed?
I have a server running windows 2003 SP2. SSRS 2008 Enterprise is installed and running correctly (SSRS databases on a separate server). I have downloaded RB 2.0 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=9f783224-9871-4eea-b1d5-f3140a253db6&displaylang=en and run the install I installed this, accepting defaults. When I try to launch with the URL: http://servernamehere/ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application I get: The report server could not transmit the file because the file /ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application is not installed or you do not have the correct permissions to access it. (rsReportBuilderFileTransmissionError) Get Online Help Could not find file 'd:\MSSQL\MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\ReportBuilder\ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application'. I looked into that folder and indeed the file ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application is missing. I did a search on all local drives and this file does not exist anywhere. I have RB 2.0 on another machine (with OS win2008) and it launches correctly for me with the above URL. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

ReportBuilder 2.0 ClickOnce is not avaliable in SSRS 2008 RTM. It was released with SSRS 2008 SP1 RTM. The ReportBuilder.msi you downloaded is a standalone desktop application, you should be able to find the application from the start - all programs menu.

Thank you!!! I do see it. Would you know the URL to use for launching it - so that I can configure Report Manager to launch RB 2.0 instead of RB 1.0 when Report Builder is clicked? Cheers

You can set the default launch URL to point to RB2.0 ClickOnce using relative path : /ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application

I figured it out - this server was missing SP1 and thus did not have ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.appliction Once I installed SP1, the path in your previous post worked. Thanks again!
