Replacing the parameter's prompt in rdl file created in Report Builder 3 and plublished on a SSRS 2008 R2
Hi RBaldo, Parameter's prompt is a static string, we could not type in expression to display different language prompt string based on parameter's selected value, this is by design. However, SQL Server Reporting Services provides access to the full functionality of the report server through the Report Server Web service. The Report Server Web service is an XML Web service with a SOAP API. It uses SOAP over HTTP and acts as a communications interface between client programs and the report server. The Web service provides two endpoints - one for report execution and one for report management - with methods that expose the functionality of the report server and enable you to develop applications using Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK. Hi evereybody, I've created one report in Report Builder 3.0 (rdl file) and I' ve published it on a server. I need to open this report using the reportviewer and change the prompt of all parameters in runtime (I'm trying to do a multilingual report, where I verify the global language variable and after that, I replace the parameter's prompt), but the properties of the parameters are read-only! How can I do that ? I've already tried many things but all didn't work ! Thanks
