Replacement for Identity Integration Feature Pack
We have a customer who uses Identity Integration Feature Pack but had problems with this with a planned migration to Exchange 2010. Is there a replacement for this as Forefront I.M. seems to be a steep learning curve when all they may need is to synchronize various objects/containers between different organizations. Thanks

Could you explain a bit more what purpose the IIFP is used for? Will Exchange 2010 be on premise or hosted (Exchange Labs/Outlook Live)? Is IIFP used for GALSync only or is it an extended (customized) AD to AD sync & provisioning? AFAIK, for the moment, there is no free MS alternative available supporting Exchange 2010. But I'm not an Exchange 2010 specialist. You should ask the Exchange 2010 specialists if it includes a (free or built-in) GALSync component... I remember a discussion on Exchange 2010 GALSync based on (FIM) sync component, free or not. Strictly talking FIM, there is no free version of FIM anymore. But you do not need to use the full blown FIM, you can use the sync engine only. (No need to purchase FIM CALs in that case.) So you could reuse your IIFP configuration and experience...
