Removing obsolete devices question

So in AD, we run a script monthly to move inactive computers into a different OU. This OU is not scanned by SCCM. I run the Active Directory System Discovery scan in SCCM, and would assume that machines no longer found in the OU (those that have been moved by my script) would be deleted from devices so that my reporting would be more accurate, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Can someone explain how I should go about this? I do have maintenance running, but it's done every 30 days.

What discovery method do you have enabled? Is AD Group discovery enabled? It is updating the Device record?

If I had to guess that would be my guess or Heartbeat discovery. but you can look at the record and find out exactly which one is updating the device details. Check the properties of the device.
