Removing host header for a current web app
When creating a web application, I specified the host header. I also set the host header on the IIS site from properties in the IIS management console. Now, I would like to get rid of the host header for this web app and use the raw URL to access it... i.e., http://<server_name>:<port>
I was able to get rid of the host header information in the IIS properties but I do not know how to disassociate it from the SharePoint end. If I type in the
http://<server_name>:<port>, it is redirecting me to the
http://<host-header> in the browser which I want to prevent from happening.
I tried looking the central admin to see if I could do that but I do not see a place where I can remove it.
Any suggestions/pointers!
Thanks!
