Remove inactive users
Hello, we have a sharepoint 2007. I get a lot of questions about, why can I still see person A (search in sharepoint), the user has left the company X month ago etc. I have searched this forum and alot of others threads, but no one has solved my problem yet. I already use this trick: (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)( !(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)) I have done more then 3 FULL IMPORTS, the persons are still there. Now i started to delete them manually, but do I really need to do this one in a while? I also throught I would make a powershell script, which would loop all inactive users in sharepoint and doublecheck them against AD, but I'm not that much into the Powershell yet. Any ideas? Yes, but i'm unsure how to do a re-index of the search index. I have read something about: stsadm -o spsearch stop fullcrawlsearch and stsadm -o spsearch start fullcrawlsearch would make a new index, but i'm not sure. Any one?Jakob Olsen

This is more like a workaround but you could think about adjusting "People" scope in the way that it will not return inactive users. Mariusz Gorzoch Blog : http://mariusz.gorzoch.pl Twitter : http://twitter.com/MariuszGorzoch
