Remove Select All option in SSRS 2008
I'm using SSRS 2008 with a report against a SSAS 2008 instance. I've got some multivalued parameters, one of which causes MDX issues when the user selects the "Select All" option. Is there a way to just turn off the select all option? I really don't need it since I've got my "All member" name in my list. Thanks

Hi, If you have set the parameter to Multi-value, the select All will be enabled. This is by design, cant turn off it besides you build the custom report. By the way, what will be caused when the user selects the select all option? Thanks, Jerry

The best way is to restrict U R ALLMEMBER name..so just dont display it in drop down.instead use Select ALLthis actually helps u in displaying ALL value two times in the parametr drop downPraxy

Hi, I found the “Select All” option was disabled in SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 1, but restored in SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2. And it is always enabled in any service pack of SQL Server 2008. This note is at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337396(SQL.90).aspx Thanks, Jerry

Yes we changed the design between these relase as we realise that not enforcing the default member on all hierarchy or attribute leads to displaying incorrect result (Null valus in most cases) that are very hard to detect and correct (often as a result of two attribute with 1:1 cardinality like Name and description for example that are set on different values). In 99% cases you really do not want to NOT have an ALL members. I know it doesn't solve your problem at hand but at least it gives you the rationale behind the change.Thierry D'hers [MS], This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
