Moss 2007 enterprise: I want to remove BUILTIN\Administrators from witin Central Admin \ Farm Admins and wanted to understand why SharePoint has this design to begin with As long as I move any SharePoint system accounts that may be within that group to Farm Admin I presume there are no issues. I also remove BUILTIN\Administrators from the farm administrator group without issues. They have no business there on a production environment (where the sharepoint production admins are a seperate AD group added to the farm administrator group). This is a good security practice imo.
