Remote tools - Remote Desktop Questions
I have some questions about RDP in SCCM. 1) When we enable RDP using SCCM Remote Tools, how sccm enable it in the client ? 2) Is there any advantage in enable RDP in SCCM or I can simply enable it by GPO ? 3) I've done some tests and always that i try to RDP with my domain admin i get the error "Cannot logon interactive due to local policy". I have set the permission to on permitted viewers, remote desktop users. If i try to logon(using RDP) with a user (that have the privilege), I am able to logon in to the machine. If i set the local admin privilege to this user, this user stop to logon and i get the same error as my domain admin account. So, does the sccm blocks RDP for admin users ? I am trying to understand how SCCM works with rdp in the background. Im trying to certificate that a user session wont be terminated if a ADMIN try to log on the machine. Thanks,Eduardo Leal

Hi 1) When you enable the Remote tools agent, a policy will make the changes to the client 2) It allows you to initiate the session from the ConfigMgr. console 3) It sounds like a policy is preventing you from logging on. Check the security GPO's and the Allow logon locally policy. Remember that you also have the option to use Remote Assistance. That's the correct solution if users are already logged on.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi Kent, I have looked at the allow logon locally policy and there isnt any policy set there (I'm using my LAB domain with no GPO). I've checked with rsop.msc Totally weird. That's why i want to understand about RDP.Eduardo Leal
