Remote Control outside of the network
Hello
This is probably a no but is it possible for Config Manager remote control to take control of a machne that is at home etc.
can you give it an external ip for the client to look for?
Also should it work over VPN?
Many Thanks

It will work over VPN; of course depending upon how your VPN connections are configured.
Since the remote control components of ConfigMgr are basically leveraging RDP and/or Remote Assistance, theoretically if the home user has opened the correct ports on their router; and assigned the right ports to the right things... I guess I could see Remote
Assistance or RDP working--but likely not from within the Console.
What I would suggest, (I think this would work), is that the home user go through the routine of requesting Remote Assistance; I think that makes a file that they can then email to the expert? That might work--but I suspect the home user would still
need ports open, etc., in their router.
I'd do a lot of testing/experimentation with your company imaged-laptop, and verify it works. There's so many variables there which may or may not be within your control.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.
