Relocate SCCM Secondary Site Filestore after Install
Hi,
I'm currently in the process of rolling out SCCM 2007 as part of a project. 1 Primary Site, 3 Secondary Sites.
The first secondary site was installed to D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration manager, the other 2 to D:\SCCM. For consistancy I'd like to move the install location of the first secondary site server to match the others in D:\SCCM.
Is this something I can do without uninstalling the whole of the secondary site server?
Hope this makes sense!
Kind Regards,
Gareth

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the quick response - not the answer I wanted, but it's what I thought!
Would reinstalling the Secondary Site be a risky proposal, would I need to repush out all of the contents of the DP again? Am I missing anything obvious that would make me not want to do this?!
Cheers,
Gareth

No, it's a common thing to do. If you are worried about the content because of its size or your bandwidth, you can preserve it in place using the Package Preload tool:
