Hai to all, when i am creating a new library,an existing site column is automatically added to the library. why is it happening.. is there any setting i need to do to avoid that.. only one site column is adding automatically..not the other site columns.. thanks in advance regards, satheesh

Hi satheesh, Did you create the new library from a custom list template in which has the site column? If it is the case, that site column will be automatically added to newly created library as it is included in the list template. Thanks & Regards. Lily Wu

Satheesh: Your question isn't clear to me. Is there a specific column you are having a problem with? Keep in mind that all lists will have the following columns by default, which cannot be removed: Title Created Created By Modified Modified By Depending on the Content Type, there may be other columns as well.
