Regarding Advertisement : Always rerun program
Hi, Im quite confused with Advertisement Always rerun program Does it mean that whatever package is advertised will rerun after machine restart ( daily ) or will it rerun only when we update the program package.

Hi, No it will still use the schdedule that is set up, so if you set it to run each monday, you must also change to Always rerun program, otherwise it will onl run once and rerun only on failure. regards; jrgen-- My System Center blog ccmexec.com -- Twitter @ccmexec

Hi, I have selected Mandatory Assignments : AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I hope so this will run only once when we advertise the package.. It will, but if you put in a new schedule then those machines will fire the advertisement again as you've told them to obey this behaviour.

I didn't understand your statement. It will ??? Will it run only once when Mandatory Assignments is AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ? Only once or @ every restart after the machine ?

I didn't understand your statement. It will ??? Will it run only once when Mandatory Assignments is AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ? Only once or @ every restart after the machine ? Only once. It will honor the schedule, install as soon as possible. This is not a re-occuring schedule, it is a one off schedule that any client added to the controlling Collection will obey, but they won't just continue reinstalling otherwise that'd be a bit uncontrollable ;-) If you add another schedule the clients that have already installed WILL install again. I suggest learn ConfigMgr KungFu from Jason: http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys/archive/2011/04/05/configmgr-program-rerun-behavior.aspx
